Judging took place
on May 23rd in Gifu, Japan. Close to 400 entries were on deliberation
for three hours. The final results are now in.

The fine products of the Gifu Artists in Residence program were presented at the Gifu Craft booth in the Handmade Division of the NY International Gift Fair. The products ranged from beautifully designed paper napkins to tableware to paper lamps.

The program, sponsored
by Gifu government has been successfully inviting some of the finest New
York based craft and product designers to Gifu City, Japan. As the goal
of the program is to support and activate local industries and manufacturers
of Gifu, designers will be given great opportunities to visit and collaborate
with them while working in your own studio. Please read more to learn
about this program.
To apply, you must be a current New York residence. Send your portfolio
along with your resume. Selection committee will carefully review and
announce for the further interview of those who are qualified. You may
also send them via e-mail to idnf@designnet.org. Its format should be
as gif or jpeg, less than 1MB.
