| Born in 1934 in Osaka Japan, Kazuo Kimura has been an advocate of Japanese industrial design as a designer and an organizer. After graduating from Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music with a B.A. degree in Industrial Design, Kimura started his career at the design department of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. in Japan. Since 1985, he has been commissioned for many transport design projects, including that of Japan's Shinkansen, also known as the Bullet Train. Currently, he serves as Executive Director of the International Design Center in Nagoya. |
