| President and founder of Beylerian Productions, Inc., George Beylerian brings with him a substantial range of experience in the fields of design management and consulting, marketing and retailing. A pioneer in bringing advanced European design to the American market, in the 1960s Beylerian played a leading role in popularizing Italian design and functional plastic home furnishings in America through his retail store, Scarabaeus. In 1970, he opened the Beylerian Casa Idea Shop at Bloomingdales--the first lifestyle shop in the country. After successfully establishing an award-winning line of homewares during the 1970s, Beylerian turned his marketing and design management talents to the furniture industry. Today, he is Senior Advisor with the Steelcase Design Partnership (SDP). |
